Ichigo emerges as a new concept of painting conceived exclusively for interior design. Celebrating urban lifestyles, Ichigo focuses on those who regard the cosmopolitan ecosystem as an ideal, and constant movement and production as a philosophy of life.
The works are constructed in series and designed from a minimalist perspective that remains compatible with their surroundings. The paint used contains a percentage of natural clay, integrated and mixed by hand, which—through an artisanal process—gives the surface a material quality that evokes asphalt.
Once this process is complete, the painting reaches a state of equilibrium in which the mass of the paint—its materiality—finds a form compatible with the shape that is drawn. Thanks to this balance, the work can be displayed in any orientation or direction. The resulting texture unites form and background; they merge, and the painting acquires a sense of unity in which all elements hold equal importance. This same unity is shared among the works within a single series.
